Five-star wide receiver Ryan Wingo of Saint Louis (MO) University will announce his commitment on October 25th.

The 6-foot-2, 200 pounder is down to the following: Miami, Tennessee, Texas, Missouri, Georgia, and Texas A&M.

Breaking down the finalists

Wingo discussed what stands out about each of his top schools.

Miami Hurricanes: They have been recruiting me heavily from late sophomore year and haven’t stopped even with the change of WR coaches.

Tennessee Volunteers: They have been recruiting me probably for the longest times and knowing what they do with WRs you can’t not consider them.

Texas Longhorns: They probably have been on me the heaviest this year, showing a lot of love from the players on the team and their commits.

Mizzou Tigers:  It’s close to home. I played with the players on the team already and I always get that at home feeling.

Georgia Bulldogs: Whenever I visit there, it’s always a lot of love. Again, I played with players on their team and have good bonds with the coaches.

Texas A&M Aggies: They have been recruiting me heavily since freshman year.  Their new OC knows how to get the playmakers the ball from what I have seen this year.

Ryan Wingo Recruiting Profile

Wingo ranks as the No. 25 player in the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He also tabs in as the No. 7 wide receiver and the No. 2 player in the state of Missouri.

Scouting Summary

On3’s Scouting and Rankings team writes this about him as a prospect:

“An electric playmaker who picks up yards in a hurry. Ran a 10.64 100m, 21.46 200m and a 50.72 400m in 2022. The ability to defeat the angle with the ball in his hands is among the best in the 2024 cycle early on. Can take the top off of defenses with ease but is not just a straight line player. His ability to make defenders miss in tight spaces and finish runs is rare for someone with his long speed. Has a chance to be an impact player at the next level. Older brother is former Arkansas running back Ronnie Wingo.”

He currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $228K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
