Flau'jae Johnson's brother arrested for disorderly conduct after jumping into brawl with Kamilla Cardoso
The brother of LSU guard Flau’jae Johnson has been arrested after running onto the court during Sunday’s SEC Championship Game between South Carolina and LSU.
Johnson’s brother — Trayron Milton — jumped over the scorers table and ran onto the court after a tussle broke out during the fourth quarter.
He has been charged with assault and batter and disorderly conduct. He is being held in Greenville.
According to Fox Carolina, police say that Milton was charged after injuring an SEC employee. Milton allegedly pushed on the victim’s head and stepped on her shoulders in order to jump onto the court.
The incident occurred late in the fourth quarter of South Carolina’s win over LSU. With the Gamecocks leading 73-66 and 2:08 remaining in the game, South Carolina’s Milaysia Fulwiley stole the ball from Flau’jae Johnson. Johnson then grabbed Fulwiley as she headed down the other end of the court.
Johnson then shoved South Carolina’s Ashlyn Watkins on her way off the court, before Gamecocks center Kamilla Cardoso ran in and shoved Johnson to the ground. That’s when Trayron Milton jumped over the scorers table, bumping Cardoso in the process.
The Gamecocks went on to win the game 79-72, improving to 33-0 in the process. LSU fell to 28-6 with the loss.

Dawn Staley reveals LSU guard Flau’jae Johnson apologized following altercation
The scuffle at the end of the South Carolina vs. LSU game surely wasn’t a moment that either team is proud of. After the game, Gamecocks’ head coach Dawn Staley revealed that Johnson spoke with her and apologized for her actions.
“I’m gonna say this, Flau’jae came to me right after the game and she just apologized and said she’s not that type of player, and I really appreciate that,” Staley said. “That’s something that somebody won’t ever hear if I don’t say anything and she’s not [that type of player]. She’s a really good person, things just got escalated.”
Johnson and Staley’s moment was seen after the game as the two talked things out and hugged, a promising sign following the intense animosity on display between the two teams just minutes before the game ended.
“I mean what you saw were two teams, highly competitive teams, try to win a conference championship and they did not handle it well. Our players didn’t, their players didn’t, and it escalated,” Staley said. “I want to thank the officials and everybody that jumped in and kind of calmed the situation down, and then the penalties were what they were. They were well within the rules of ejecting the players that left the bench even if they just stepped over the line of the bench. You can’t, you have to sit there and keep your composure.”
