Lone Star State WR Muizz Tounkara flips commitment to Florida
League City (Texas) Clear Springs receiver Muizz Tounkara flipped his commitment from Arizona to Florida on Monday following an official visit to Gainesville.
The 6-foot-4, 195-pound Tounkara’s trips was highlighted by the Gators victory over Ole Miss.
Tounkara had been a verbal to Arizona since July. He now becomes commit No. 17 for head coach Billy Napier and his staff in the 2025 cycle.
“I feel that Florida is the right fit for me,” Tounkara said. “Number one the head coach. Coach Napier is a head coach with background of coaching wide receivers. He definitely has an emphasis on airing the ball out which gives guys like myself optimal opportunity to showcase our skills.
“In addition to that you add Coach Gonzalez and his years of experience and track record. His resume is outstanding second to none being able to work and train under that type of guidance and experience is opportunity you just shouldn’t pass by.”

Florida had everything Tounkara was looking for.
“The ancillary staff, sports medicine, the educational opportunity,” he said. “It was nothing but everything I wanted to hear and see and feel on a visit.”
Now he’s part of the fold.
Prior to Tounkara’s commitment this Florida class was ranked by On3 as the No. 24 class in the country. Other flip targets that visited over the weekend include running back Byron Louis and offensive lineman Jahari Medlock, who flipped his commitment from Cincinnati shortly before Tounkara’s announcement.
