Seffner (Fla.) Armwood four-star cornerback Jaelen Waters has decommitted from Florida.
He was pledged to the Gators since June 15. Waters is also a former Florida State commit.
The 6-foot-2, 180-pounder is the No. 120 overall prospect and No. 11 CB in the 2026 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 19 player in Florida.

Programs haven’t let their foot off the gas in Waters’ recruitment, with Miami being another in-state school working hard to land his pledge. The Hurricanes hired Florida’s Will Harris to be the new defensive backs coach in Coral Gables on Feb. 13.
Waters told On3’s Chad Simmons in January that Miami was “right there” alongside the Gators.
“Florida and Miami are two home schools for me because I live in Florida. They’re always pushing for me. It is Miami, the coaches want me there and it is always great to be around the people at Miami,” Waters said.
