On3 Industry 4-star QB Tramell Jones commits to Florida
Jacksonville (Fla.) Mandarin On3 Industry four-star quarterback Tramell Jones has committed to Florida during his official visit to Gainesville. He was in town for the victory over LSU.
Jones had been a verbal to the Seminoles since April of 2023. He becomes commit No. 13 for Billy Napier and the Gators in the 2025 class.
The On3 Industry tabs Jones as the nation’s No. 21 signal-caller and No. 246 prospect overall. He had an outstanding junior season throwing for 3,195 yards and 33 touchdowns to just seven interceptions, leading his team to the state title game.
The strong play carried over into the off-season leading the South Florida Express on deep runs in 7v7 tournaments and having a terrific showing this summer at the Elite 11 Finals throwing alongside many of the nation’s best.
“Showed off a silky smooth throwing motion and release at the Elite 11 Finals,” On3 Director of Scouting Charles Power said. “The 6-foot, 195-pounder has a clean stroke with no moving parts. Jones’ tight throwing motion allows for him to throw with consistently deliver catchable footballs and throw with accuracy. The Jacksonville (Fla.) Mandarin is a pure pocket passer who is at his best when he can sit back and distribute the ball to surrounding playmakers.”
Jones missed most of his senior season because of injury.
Florida looking to build more recruiting momentum with this 2025 class
Napier is looking for a big close on the trail in the 2025 cycle. It was a huge weekend in Gainesville with Jones the first bit of good news to come from it.

Moving forward the Gators are looking to flip Jones’s teammate, On3 Industry five-star receiver Jaime Ffrench from Texas. He took an official visit and sources indicate the buzz is picking up for Florida.
On3 Industry five-star offensive lineman Solomon Thomas also took in the game. The long-time Florida State commit is considering the Gators and LSU down the stretch.
