Florida receiver transfer Andy Jean visiting Louisville
Former Florida receiver Andy Jean is currently visiting Louisville, according to a social media post that included a picture from inside Cardinal Stadium and On3’s Pete Nakos.
Jean entered the NCAA transfer portal following a 2024 season in which he didn’t see much action for the Gators.
A former four-star prospect with a lot of athletic upside, Jean will likely be a strong snag for someone. Louisville is positioning itself to potentially be the destination, as Jean also visited the Cardinals in high school.
During his time at Florida, Jean logged just six catches for 97 yards. But he battled injuries that slowed him down.
As a true freshman in Gainesville, Jean played in only four games and thus was able to redshirt. He made his first career catch vs. Charlotte and it went for 32 yards. He later added four catches for 33 yards against Kentucky and another catch vs. Vanderbilt. Additionally, Jean returned two kickoffs for 44 total yards.

After the Kentucky game, Jean drew praise from Gators coach Billy Napier.
“It was good to see him be able to execute and to get some experience,” Napier said of Jean. “I think that’s going to help his confidence. You can just see it. He got a chance to play in the Charlotte game and experience some success. … Andy’s opportunities have been increasing because he’s been preparing better, showing a better grasp, practicing better, more efficient, more productive, performing in practice. We’ve been playing him here the last couple of weeks as a result of that.
“Andy’s role will definitely grow here. … Sometimes a young, talented player, when they experience some success, that kind of fuels the fire, and then they show up to practice a little bit different, right? We’ve got a number of players that are like that. Andy’s a good example.”
This season, Jean only saw action in Florida’s early season win at Mississippi State. He missed spring camp with an injury.
Prior to enrolling at Florida, Jean was ranked as a four-star prospect and the No. 397 overall player in the nation in the 2023 recruiting class. He also checked in as the No. 61 receiver in the class and the No. 73 overall player from the state of Florida, hailing from Miami (FL) Northwestern.
