4-star WR CJ Wiley decommits from Florida State
Milton (Ga.) four-star wide receiver CJ Wiley has decommitted from Florida State.
The 6-foot-3, 210-pound pass-catcher was pledged to the Seminoles since June 25, when he chose them over Georgia and LSU.
Wiley is the No. 81 overall prospect and No. 12 WR in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. On3 ranks Wiley higher than other recruiting services. He checks in at No. 80 overall in the 2025 On300.
It came as a surprise when Wiley originally announced his commitment to the Noles at the end of June. Georgia was trending in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine at the time of his decision, while LSU also had confidence ahead of the announcement.

The win for Mike Norvell and Co. helped kickstart what was a big few weeks on the recruiting trail in Tallahassee. On-field struggles have since ensued in 2024 and that momentum has been nowhere to be found in the fall. Wiley is now back on the board as one of the top wideouts in the cycle.
In the middle of September, On3 Director of Recruiting Chad Simmons reported that UGA was “recruiting (Wiley) as hard as any school.” Auburn, LSU and Georgia Tech were also mentioned as potential suitors for the blue-chipper at the time.
