Florida State offers UCF 4-star WR commit Jayvan Boggs
As Florida State looks for an inkling of momentum on the recruiting trail, it extended an offer to an in-state wide receiver prospect on Thursday.
Cocoa (Fla.) four-star WR Jayvan Boggs, currently committed to UCF, announced on Thursday afternoon that the Seminoles have offered, joining a list that features around 20 other Power Four programs.
On Aug. 6, Boggs, originally an Ohio State pledge, flipped his commitment to UCF from Missouri. The 6-foot, 200-pounder is currently the top-ranked pledge in the Knights’ class, though FSU could look to change his mind once again.
Boggs has continued to up his stock as a senior for Cocoa. Catching passes from junior Michigan commit Brady Hart, Boggs has racked up 47 receptions for 957 yards and 11 TDs, according to MaxPreps. He’s coming off a junior campaign that featured nearly 1,500 receiving yards and 23 scores.
He is the No. 227 overall prospect and No. 30 WR in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 34 player in Florida.

Florida State clinging on to top-25 recruiting class this cycle
The Noles lost a commitment from Lucas (Texas) Lovejoy four-star WR Daylan McCutcheon on Thursday evening as he flipped his pledge to Texas. Later Thursday evening, former Mississippi State commit and four-star offensive tackle Mario Nash committed, bringing FSU back to 11 total pledges.
The class now ranks No. 18 in the nation and No. 3 in the ACC, according to the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.
Five-star interior offensive lineman Solomon Thomas remains the headliner as the nation’s No. 19 recruit and top-ranked IOL. Four-star WR CJ Wiley is now the lone receiver in the class but is coming off a game visit to Georgia. He’s the No. 80 prospect in the On300.
“Thomas is a big-bodied, physical offensive lineman with versatility and one of the higher floors in what is a loaded cycle at the position,” On3 writes of the five-star. “Measured in at around 6-foot-3.5, 315 pounds prior to his senior season. Touts elite length with 35.75-inch arms.”
Other top commits in the class include four-star defensive lineman Kevin Wynn, four-star IOL Peyton Joseph, four-star running back Byron Louis, four-star quarterback Tramell Jones and four-star safety Gregory Thomas.
