Denton (Texas) Guyer three-star quarterback Kevin Sperry has flipped his commitment from Oklahoma to Florida State, per On3’s Hayes Fawcett.

He was pledged to the Sooners since March 13, but is now the latest senior QB to swerve directions ahead of the Early Signing Period and is now heading to Tallahassee.

Sperry is the No. 448 overall prospect and No. 31 QB in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He’s also the No. 65 player in Texas.

FSU held a longtime pledge from Jacksonville Mandarin four-star QB Tramell Jones, but the in-state signal-caller decommitted last week and subsequently committed to the Florida Gators. Sperry is now set to join the Noles’ class, which is back to 13 total commits.

As a senior in 11 games, Sperry has thrown for over 2,000 yards and 21 touchdowns to seven interceptions. Guyer is 8-3 and amidst a playoff run, with its next game against Pearce set for this Friday.

Seminoles land a QB flip of their own

With the addition of Sperry, FSU now has the No. 25 class in the nation, according to the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings. It’s been a shaky fall on the trail, but Mike Norvell and Co. are looking to close the final two weeks in the lead-up to National Signing Day strong.

Jacksonville Raines five-star interior offensive lineman Solomon Thomas remains the top-ranked commit in the class, now checking in as the No. 32 recruit and No. 2 IOL in the nation. Thomas is one of two top-100 prospects in the class, alongside Greensboro (Ga.) Greene County four-star defensive lineman Kevin Wynn.

Five additional blue-chippers round out the top of the class: Fort Valley (Ga.) Houston County four-star IOL Peyton Joseph, Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) American Heritage four-star running back Byron Louis, De Kalb (Miss.) Kemper County four-star OT Mario Nash, Plantation (Fla.) American Heritage four-star safety Gregory Thomas and Omaha (Neb.) Millard South four-star tight end Chase Loftin.
