Location: Charlotte, N.C.
The two teams have had quite different journeys to reach the ACC title game. It was a smooth ride for Florida State until the Seminoles lost their quarterback in the penultimate regular season game.
Florida State ripped off 10 straight wins before Jordan Travis suffered a devastating season-ending leg injury in a game against North Alabama. That injury likely kept the early point spread from being bigger.
Travis had done it all for the Seminoles.
He finished his season with 2,755 passing yards, with 20 touchdowns and just two interceptions. He had also run for 176 yards and seven touchdowns.
Taking over for the Seminoles has been veteran Tate Rodemaker. He’ll have to be on point if Florida State hopes to win. The good news is he’ll have plenty of weapons to work with.
Running back Trey Benson has rushed for more than 700 yards, while the receiving duo of Keon Coleman and Johnny Wilson is as good as any in the country. Even though both battled injury at various points, Coleman has topped the 600-yard receiving mark, while Wilson has eclipsed 500 yards.

Louisville, on the other hand, arrives at the ACC Championship Game on the heels of a loss to rival Kentucky, thus the early point spread.
The Cardinals won 10 games in their first year under coach Jeff Brohm, riding a balanced offense to the championship game.
Quarterback Jack Plummer has thrown for 2,710 yards with 19 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. He’s had a three-headed monster at running back that he’s been able to lean on.
The lead back is Jawhar Jordan, who has run for 1,009 yards and 11 touchdowns this season. Backup Isaac Guerendo has run for 585 yards and eight touchdowns. Maurice Turner cleans things up, with 210 yards and a touchdown.
