Florida at Tennessee: Friday injury report revealed
Florida and Tennessee will face off in a pivotal SEC game on Saturday in Knoxville. For the Gators, this is an opportunity for Billy Napier to land a huge win as he fights to remain the head coach at Florida.
Meanwhile, Tennessee is hoping to keep its College Football Playoff hopes alive after falling at Arkansas last weekend. Both teams have players dealing with injuries heading into the matchup.
Tennessee receivers Dont’e Thornton Jr., Squirrel White and Bru McCoy, who are three of the top four leading receivers for the Vols, were each listed on the injury report earlier this week.
As for the Gators, receiver Marcus Burke and defensive back Ja’Keem Jackson have already been listed as out, while offensive lineman Austin Barber was questionable as of Thursday. All three are impact players.

Florida head coach Billy Napier did hint at what kind of game will benefit the Gators earlier this week. It’s clear that Napier doesn’t want to see a high-scoring game with both offenses going up and down the field.
“I do think some of what you’re saying I would agree with, relative to home and away,” Billy Napier said. “In particular, the challenge of playing on the road in this league. That’s been the case for a lot of teams in our league, not just Tennessee. I think we would probably say the same. In general, I hope it’s not a track meet.”
Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel has made his name for having fast-paced and explosive offenses in his career. This season, the Volunteers have once again had that type of offense at home with Tennessee averaging 70 points per game played at Neyland Stadium, though those were both non-conference games and Tennessee is averaging just 19.5 points per game in SEC play.
