Florida vs. Kentucky odds: Early point spread released, How to Watch
Florida and Kentucky are set to meet in a matchup that could be a defining moment in either program’s season, given the way the year has started for both.
Each team took a pair of losses in the first three weeks of the season and has been struggling to find its way back ever since, and Saturday’s game will be an opportunity to take another step in the right direction.
According to lines listed by FanDuel, Kentucky opens as a 1.5-point favorite over Florida. The over/under point total for the contest has been set at 40.5 points.
That sets the expectation for the game: It should be a relatively even contest on paper. But that’s why they play the games. Absolutely anything can happen.

Florida has been very up and down since the season began, losing the opener to Miami and then dropping a contest against Texas A&M two weeks later. Neither was very competitive.
But the Gators bounced back nicely to win a couple in a row, taking out Mississippi State and UCF in the process. A game against Tennessee provided some further ups and downs for the squad.

The Gators have been led by quarterback Graham Mertz, who has performed very well despite having to share snaps with mega-talented freshman DJ Lagway. Florida has used a system where both are regularly involved, and it’s mostly worked out.
On the other side, Kentucky lost back-to-back games against South Carolina and Georgia before bouncing back in a major way. The team scored a huge upset of No. 6 Ole Miss on the road.
That has provided some renewed confidence in Mark Stoops‘ camp, and the Wildcats are looking to roll that forward into a key SEC contest that the Wildcats have had the better of in recent years.
One thing is definite: Kentucky’s defense is staunch and has made it a point to keep the ‘Cats in most contests this season. Saturday should be another good test.
