Former Alabama All-SEC offensive lineman William Vlachos hired as defensive coach Western Kentucky

Western Kentucky is hiring Central Michigan offensive line coach and former Alabama All-SEC offensive lineman William Vlachos as defensive run game/pass rush coordinator, sources tell On3.

Vlachos, who was part of Nick Saban’s first two Alabama national championship teams, previously worked on defense as a member of Colorado’s staff in 2020, where he worked under current Western Kentucky defensive coordinator Tyson Summers.

Before Central Michigan and Colorado, Vlachos worked for the Buffalo Bills (2018) and at Alabama (2013-17).
