Former Alabama and Texas wide receiver Agiye Hall has committed to Sacramento State, he announced on his Twitter account on Sunday night.

Hall had previously committed to UCF out of the transfer portal prior to the 2024 season, but he did not suit up for the Knights this year. He has had previous stints at both Alabama and Texas.

Agiye Hall signed with Alabama as a four-star recruit and the No. 37 player in the country in the class of 2021, per the On3 Industry rankings. He was also ranked as the No. 4 receiver in the nation and the No. 9 overall player from the state of Florida that year.

Hall spent one season at Alabama, catching four passes for 72 yards in 2021. Hall then entered the transfer portal and ended up at Texas.

During the 2022 season, Agiye Hall played in three games, catching one pass for 7 yards. He was not a part of the Texas program in 2023.

Texas lands impact defensive lineman

Agiye Hall’s new commitment wasn’t the only transfer portal-related news connected to the Texas program on Sunday night.

North Carolina defensive line transfer Travis Shaw has also committed to Texas, he told On3’s Hayes Fawcett.

The 6-foot-6, 340-pound defensive lineman has totaled 55 tackles and four passes defended during his time with the Tar Heels. So he’ll be a productive piece that the Longhorns add to the interior of the defensive line.

Travis Shaw has spent the last three years in North Carolina. He played as a true freshman, appearing in 13 games on the defensive line as he logged 18 tackles, 0.5 tackles for a loss and two pass breakups.

His productivity would only increase from there.

As a sophomore in 2023, Travis Shaw appeared in 12 games and posted 11 tackles, 1.0 tackles for a loss and a pass breakup.

This season for North Carolina, the veteran defensive tackle logged career-highs in tackles (26), tackles for a loss (4.0) and fumble recoveries (2). He also broke up one pass and had a quarterback hurry.
