Former Arizona wide receiver Kevin Green has officially committed to play for Washington on Monday ahead of the 2024 season, according to On3’s Pete Nakos.

Green is the 23rd player to join the Huskies this offseason through the transfer portal, and the 12th to do do from Arizona. Following new head coach Jedd Fisch to Seattle as he takes over the reins of the Washington program following their trip to the national championship ahead of their transition to the Big Ten Conference.

Green spent the first two seasons of his college career with the Wildcats, redshirting in his first season after making just three game appearances in 2022 before seeing a more increased role this past season. Appearing in 11 games with two starts in 2023 where he caught eight passes for 98 yards.

Green played high school football at Bishop Alemany High School in Mission Hills (CA) where he was a three-star prospect. Ranked the No. 538 overall recruit and the No. 86 wide receiver in the 2022 cycle, according to On3’s Industry Rankings, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

After originally committing to USC out of high school, Green flipped his commitment to Arizona following head coaching changes in Los Angeles. And will now stick with Fisch and a familiar coaching staff as he joins the Huskies with three seasons of eligibility remaining in his collegiate career.

At 5-foot-11, 170 pounds Green played at the slot receiver position in Arizona’s offense, and will likely do the same in a scheme that will be familiar to him at Washington. Also getting reps at punt returner during the Wildcats’ spring practice before deciding to part ways with the program.

Green commits to Washington following a visit in Seattle this past weekend, a visit that former Arizona running back Jordan Washington was also present at before committing to Washington as well. As Fisch continues to build up his new roster with familiar faces ahead of his debut season at the helm for the Huskies.
