Report: Arkansas transfer Andrew Chamblee commits to SMU
Former Arkansas offensive lineman Andrew Chamblee has reportedly found his new home at SMU.
Chamblee has committed to the Mustangs, according to Pete Thamel. He was one of the top offensive linemen available in the transfer portal.
Andrew Chamblee appeared in 12 games for the Razorbacks last season, making eight starts. He was named to the 2023 SEC All-Freshman Team.
The Arkansas native was ranked as a four-star recruit and the No. 16 offensive tackle in the country in the class of 2022, per the On3 Industry rankings.

Chamblee played 405 snaps for the Razorbacks, the sixth most on the Arkansas offensive line. He was rated at a 40.9 pass-blocking grade and a 55.9 run-blocking grade, according to Pro Football Focus.
Last month, it was shared that Chamblee was no longer part of the Arkansas program. The original report suggested that he had “lost the love for the game” but would not be transferring as he planned to continue his life as a student in Fayetteville.
Now, a few weeks later, that is no longer the case for Chamblee as he will be continuing his college football career in Dallas.

Arkansas offensive line transfer Paris Patterson commits to SMU
Andrew Chamblee became the second former Arkansas offensive lineman in as many days to commit to SMU.
On Sunday, former Arkansas offensive lineman Paris Patterson committed to SMU out of the NCAA transfer portal.
Patterson spent just one year with the Razorbacks, taking a redshirt during the 2023 season.
He was one of four offensive linemen from Arkansas to enter the NCAA transfer portal following the season, along with Devon Manuel, Andrew Chamblee and Joey Su’a.
For SMU, it’s a quality addition with a lot of potential upside.
As a recruit, Paris Patterson was a three-star prospect out of East Saint Louis (IL) High School. He ranked as the No. 582 overall player and No. 55 inside offensive lineman in the 2023 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
SMU is coming off of an 11-3 season in 2023. The Mustangs are entering their first year in the ACC. SMU opens the 2024 season on Aug. 24 at Nevada. Its first ACC game is scheduled for Sept. 28 against Florida State.
