Former Auburn, Miami running back Asa Martin enrolls at Troy

Former Auburn, Miami and Memphis running back Asa Martin has enrolled at Troy, Trojans head coach Jon Sumrall tells On3.
Martin, a former four-star recruit, posted 747 scrimmage yards and eight touchdowns for Memphis this past season. He ran for 435 yards and seven scores while averaging 5.1 yards per carry. He also compiled 36 catches for 312 yards and a touchdown.

Martin, an Alabama native, ranked as the 11th-best running back, 174th-best overall prospect and fifth-best player in Alabama according to the 2018 On3 Consensus Rankings.
Troy finished last season 12-2 in its first year under Sumrall. The Trojans won the Sun Belt championship and ended the season on a 10-game winning streak.
