Former Colorado, Florida State defensive lineman Bishop Thomas has committed to Georgia State, he announced on the Listen2DP Podcast with Daymond Patterson II on Wednesday.

In his lone season at Colorado, Thomas appeared in eight games and tallied six tackles, two tackles for loss and a fumble recovery. Thomas’ best game of the season came in Colorado’s win over Arizona State when he recorded three tackles.

Thomas was reportedly dismissed from the program after being suspended indefinitely for violating team rules. Before transferring to Colorado, Thomas spent one season at Florida State. He played in two games for the Seminoles, securing one tackle. He ultimately opted to use his redshirt that season.

Bishop Thomas played high school football at Bishop Moore Catholic (FL), where he was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 560 overall recruit in the 2022 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Colorado transfer RB Sy’Veon Wilkerson commits to Georgia State

Thomas will join his former Colorado teammate in running back Sy’Veon Wilkerson at Georgia State. He originally followed Deion Sanders to Boulder from Jackson State.

In the 2023 campaign, Wilkerson played in 11 games and made two starts against Arizona and Utah. The 5-foot-9 sophomore had 53 carries for 190 yards and three touchdowns. Wilkerson’s lone campaign at Colorado was a step backward from his monstrous season at Jackson State.

In his only season with the Tigers, Wilkerson tallied 226 carries for 1,167 yards, nine touchdowns and 5.2 yards per carry. The previous season, Wilkerson played at Delaware State, amassing 220 carries for 848 yards, eight touchdowns and 3.9 yards per carry.

Sy’Veon Wilkerson played high school football at Our Lady of Good Counsel High School (MD), where he was an unranked prospect in the 2020 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. During his senior year at Our Lady of Good Counsel High School, Wilkerson led the school to the WCAC championship behind 1,100 rushing yards and 16 touchdowns.
