Former LSU forward Bradley Ezewiro announces transfer destination
LSU transfer Bradley Ezewiro has committed to Georgetown, he tells On3.
The 6-foot-8, 246-pound power forward appeared in seven games last season for the Tigers. He averaged only about 4.1 minutes and 1.6 points per outing. After one year in Baton Rouge, the Southern California native entered the transfer portal after former head coach Will Wade was fired upon receiving a notice of allegations.
After weighing his options, Bradley Ezewiro cut his list to three on April 22, according to a report from Adam Zagoria. Oregon State, UAB, and Nevada rounded out his list. This means Georgetown entered the recruiting process later but was still able to secure his commitment.
Head coach Patrick Ewing and the Hoyas have now formed a seven-man recruiting class in 2022. Headed to D.C. next year from the high school ranks is four-star combo guard Denver Anglin and three-star power forward D’Ante Bass. Arriving via the transfer portal is Akok Akok from UConn, Ezewiro’s former teammate at LSU — Brandon Murray, Jay Heath from Arizona State, and Amir Spears from Duquense.

Originally from Torrance, Calif., Ezewiro played for Bishop Montgomery High School, where he averaged 17.3 points and 10 rebounds per game as a junior. Ezewiro then transferred to powerhouse Oak Hill Academy in Mouth of Wilson, Va., for his senior year. In the meantime, Ezewiro reclassified and did not play basketball in 2020-21 before enrolling at LSU. He will have three years of eligibility remaining at Georgetown and can play immediately as a first-time transfer.
Coming out of high school, Ezewiro was rated as a three-star prospect, and ranked No. 269 in the 2021 class according to 247Sports. He picked LSU over offers from USC, Tennessee, Virginia Tech, Arizona State, and others.
