Former Ole Miss quarterback Bo Wallace unloads on Hugh Freeze for throwing QB's 'under the bus'
When it comes to criticizing his players, Auburn head coach Hugh Freeze has not been shy about it in the media this year. After the Tigers lost to Arkansas on Saturday 24-14, the Auburn head man was furious. Freeze did not hold back in his post game press conference, and he was clearly frustrated with the turnovers from his quarterbacks.
“I know that there’s people open and I know that we’re running the football. We’ve got to find a guy that won’t throw it to the other team, and we’ve got to find running backs that hold on to it,” he said.
Freeze’s postgame remarks caught the attention of one of his old quarterbacks, former Ole Miss signal-caller Bo Wallace. And he was furious about them. Wallace let Freeze have it in a social media post on Twitter.

Wallace went on a lengthy rant.
“We’re approaching the point that he’s thrown so many QBs under the bus, that maybe no one wants to play for him?? His offense helped me tremendously put up numbers when I blew my shoulder out…But why is it someone else’s fault every time there’s a loss?? but when there’s a win I watch the press conferences just to count how many times the word “I” is used…appreciate what he did for me, my son wouldn’t be playing for him though,” Wallace vented.

“I got a story I’ll keep in my back pocket forever until it’s time. (Auburn staffers calling my phone incoming). But that dude has never helped me a day in his life. It was always only about getting a win for him so he could collect his extra 100 racks a win. If y’all knew the medications and shots I was taking to get that man his money you wouldn’t believe they would let you walk on a field like that. And with all that, I still feel the tires from the bus,” Wallace continued.

“(Bo’s drunk) nah he is as sober as could be watching tape, just tired of this dude always blaming players….EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.”
“Do your research on his offenses, excluding his time at Liberty, look at the interceptions every qb he’s had play for him throws, at some point when it happens over and over every year…You look in the mirror, not at the players to save face,” Wallace finished.
Bo Wallace put up prolific numbers during his time with Ole Miss. He led the Rebels to a 7-6 record in 2012, with a win in the Compass Bowl over Pittsburgh. He also led them to an 8-5 mark in 2013 with a victory over Georgia Tech in the Music City Bowl, and a 9-4 record in 2014 with a win in the Peach Bowl over Penn State.
Wallace threw for over 2,900 yards in three straight seasons in Oxford, finishing his career there with 9,534 passing yards, while tossing in 62 total touchdowns with 41 interceptions. As a runner, he finished with 944 total rushing yards and 19 touchdowns on the ground.
