TCU transfer DB Andre Seldon commits to Utah State
TCU transfer Andre Seldon has committed to Utah State, according to On3’s Pete Nakos.
Seldon committed to the Aggies after entering the transfer portal last month. The defensive back previously played for Michigan and New Mexico State, in addition to the spending this spring with the Horned Frogs.
Andre Seldon initially committed Michigan out of high school and spent two seasons in Ann Arbor, but he didn’t get to see the field much. He recorded a single tackle before deciding to transfer. Once in the portal for the first time, Seldon found a nice new home with New Mexico State, where he would thrive in 2022 and 2023.
In two years with the Aggies, Seldon recorded 97 total tackles, 11 pass deflections and two interceptions across 28 total games participated in. After shining at the Group of Five level each of the last two seasons, Seldon opted to hop back in the portal. He went to TCU for the spring but will now get a second try at Utah State.
The 5-foot-7 Seldon was a top recruit heading into college, despite his diminutive stature. He was rated as a four-star prospect in the class of 2020 by the On3 Industry Rankings. He was also ranked the No. 165 overall player and the No. 4 player out of Michigan for his cycle.

Former Texas defensive back Austin Jordan committed to TCU out of the NCAA Transfer Portal earlier this week, according to On3’s Hayes Fawcett. Jordan will have two years of eligibility remaining.
He played in 25 games across two seasons with the Longhorns. All told, Jordan had 11 tackles and an interception at Texas.
Jordan played high school football at Denton Ryan (Texas) High School, where he was a four-star prospect. He was the No. 220 overall recruit in the 2022 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
Jordan is not the only defensive back Texas has seen enter the transfer portal recently. Terrance Brooks will look to play elsewhere as well, announcing his decision recently. Brooks was slated the be a starter for the Longhorns on the outside, a position they must now fill after spring practice.
