Former Texas and Alabama transfer Agiye Hall is back in the NCAA Transfer Portal, On3 has learned. Hall committed to UCF for the 2024 season but did not join the Knights program. He ended up not playing anywhere in 2024.

Hall signed with Alabama as a four-star recruit and the No. 37 player in the country in the class of 2021, per the On3 Industry rankings. He was also ranked as the No. 4 receiver in the nation and the No. 9 overall player from the state of Florida that year.

Hall spent one season at Alabama, catching four passes for 72 yards in 2021. Hall then entered the transfer portal and ended up at Texas.

During the 2022 season, Hall played in three games, catching one pass for 7 yards. He was not a part of the Texas program in 2023.

It was a bit of a rollercoaster ride for Hall after coming to college a few years ago. He was arrested back in August of 2022 on criminal mischief charges and suspended indefinitely by Steve Sarkisian at the time.

“We’re aware of the situation involving Agiye Hall, have talked with his family, and have suspended him from all team activities for conduct that is detrimental to our program,” a program statement read.

Hall worked his way back into the mix for playing time as the season went on, appearing in contests versus UTSATexas Tech and West Virginia. His lone catch came in Lubbock against the Red Raiders. After playing in three games, Sarkisian was asked in mid-October about his plans for Hall in the remainder of the season.

“As far as Agiye goes, obviously it’s been a bit of a journey since he’s been here,” Sarkisian said October 20, 2022. “He’s had some ups and had some downs. At this moment in time, if we can preserve his redshirt I think that would be in the best interest of him and the best interest of us.”

Had Agiye Hall joined the UCF program, he would have played for Gus Malzahn in Orlando.
