Former Texas A&M quarterback Jerrod Johnson has landed a new NFL coaching job.

The Minnesota Vikings are hiring Johnson as an offensive assistant, a source tells On3. Johnson, who threw for 3,579 yards and 30 touchdowns for A&M in 2009, will work with the Vikings’ passing game and quarterbacks.

Johnson, 33, was part of the Indianapolis Colts coaching staff the last two years.

Johnson, who has also worked as an Elite 11 quarterbacks coach, interviewed for the Philadelphia Eagles quarterbacks coach job last year prior to the Eagles hiring Brian Johnson. He has also received interest for multiple Power 5 college QB coaching jobs the last couple years.
