Former Texas RB Bijan Robinson proclaims Longhorns are 'future of college football' during Michigan beatdown
Former Texas superstar turned Atlanta Falcons running back Bijan Robison believes the Longhorns are proving why they’re a force to be reckoned with in 2024 with their performance against Michigan.
Throughout the premier matchup in Week 2, the story of the clash has been the Longhorns dominating the defending national champions. During his time in college, Robinson was the key piece of the Texas offense, and he’s watching Saturday’s game with a keen eye, delivering a pointed shot at the Wolverines, while praising his alma mater.
“We’re witnessing a team that is the future of college football,” Robinson posted on X, formerly known as Twitter. “Them (M emoji) boys done ran outta gas before it started (laughing emoji, shrug emoji).”
It’s tough to argue with Robinson’s assessment of the game. Texas has been in control for basically the entire clash thus far, and it doesn’t seem like it’s going to change before the clock strikes zero on the Wolverines’ chances in Week 2.

Alas, Bijan Robinson is having a great time watching Texas put a whooping on Michigan, and he’ll look to lead the Atlanta Falcons to a similar victory on Sunday, as they take on the Pittsburgh Steelers in their Week 1 clash.
Tom Brady on Michigan first half vs. Texas: ‘Tough to watch’
Meanwhile, NFL legend and Michigan alum Tom Brady took in the first half of the Wolverines’ game against Texas and well, it wasn’t pretty.

The former Wolverines’ quarterback is set to make his NFL on FOX regular season debut Sunday, but joined the FOX broadcast at halftime Saturday. Safe to say, Brady wished he could’ve gloated about Michigan leading Texas rather than the other way around.
FOX’s Joel Klatt asked Brady his initial thoughts from the first 30 minutes, saying “your Wolverines need some help right now.”
“Tell me about it Joel, it’s been tough to watch this first half,” Brady said. “I was hoping I’d come on here and be talking about the opposite score there. But Texas is off to a great start. (The) quarterback’s playing well, so Michigan’s got a lot to cover here in the in the second half.”
Brady likely could’ve broken down what was going wrong by each individual play, but he’ll save the good stuff for Sunday when he calls the Dallas Cowboys vs. the Cleveland Browns.
