Former UCF, Missouri transfer DB Jarvis Ware commits to UNLV
Former UCF and Missouri cornerback Jarvis Ware has committed to UNLV as a transfer, he announced on Tuesday night. He will have at least on year of eligibility remaining.
His move to UNLV reunites him with his original college coach, Barry Odom.
Ware spent three seasons at Missouri before heading to UCF ahead of the 2021 season, which he missed due to injury. He returned to play 12 games in 2023 for the Knights as a key piece on the defense during the inaugural Big 12 campaign.
In his college career, Ware has played in 40 total games and has 10 passes defended and an interception to go with 92 total tackles.
Ware played high school football at Wekiva (Fla.) High School, where he was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 1448 overall recruit in the 2018 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Missouri added a big-time linebacker via the portal
Former Michigan linebacker Jeremiah Beasley committed to Missouri, per On3’s Hayes Fawcett. A true freshman, Beasley entered the portal during the spring window.
As a member of the Class of 2024, Beasley was a four-star recruit out of Belleville (Mich.) High, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He was the No. 9 overall prospect in the state, the No. 36 linebacker in the class and the No. 399 overall prospect in the class.
Beasley was set to compete for time at linebacker with freshman Cole Sullivan, junior Jimmy Rolder and others in rotational spots behind juniors Ernest Hausmann and Jaishawn Barham. The departure was a bit of a surprise, as he was complimented by position coach Brian Jean-Mary during spring practice.
“Obviously, the young kids, Cole Sullivan and Jeremiah Beasley, guys that should be in high school and they’re getting quality reps at spring practice, very, very excited about those two guys,” Jean-Mary said. “I think they’re going to be two high-end guys that are going to continue the tradition that we’ve had here of solid linebackers that a very, very productive. Been very, very happy with those guys.”
