Breaking down the finalists
Haynes spoke with On3 about what stood out with each school
Oklahoma- Its home! I like Coach Venables and Coach Valai and think the program is headed in a great direction. Coach V being a defensive coach I feel like I can be coached well there… My family are OU fans and my teammates are going there.
Notre Dame- I feel like it’s a great university with a great football history. I like the coaches (Coach Mickens) and feel like they can help me make the league and after my football career is over.
Georgia- Georgia is a great program. The best in the country over the last few years. I feel like they’re one of the best schools at developing NFL talent, and I would like to compete at that level. Plus I have a good relationship with Coach Williams.
Texas A&M- I’ve been to A&M a few times and I like the program and the facilities. Even with the coaching change they’ve hired Coach Peterson, who I had a good relationship with when he was recruiting me for his previous school.
