Fresh off a visit to Florida State this weekend, Miami (Fla.) Central linebacker Wesley Bissainthe has settled on a decision date. The four-star 2022 prospect told Noles247 that he’ll announce his commitment on Saturday, December 4.
Bissainthe is the No. 174 prospect in the 2022 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
According to MaxPreps, Bissainthe has notched 36 tackles this season, including 12 tackles for loss, to go along with three sacks, two interceptions and two forced fumbles. As a junior, Bissainthe totaled 45 tackles, including 21 for loss, as well as seven sacks.

He took official visits to West Virginia, Penn State and Miami in June. This fall, he saw Florida State and Florida for official visits. However, he has taken numerous unofficial visits to hometown Miami, and an unofficial visit to Florida for Nov. 27 is on the docket.
The three local schools appear to be in prime position for Wesley Bissainthe, with Florida State and Miami considered the favorites. All three coaches have struggled this season, with Florida’s Dan Mullen the latest rumored name on the hot seat. The Gators gave up 42 first-half points to FCS Samford this past weekend. Florida is just 4-8 in its past 12 games against FBS opponents.
After ugly starts to the season, both Miami and Florida State have rebounded to respectability. That has likely saved both Manny Diaz and Mike Norvell from being fired.
