Four-Star RB James Peoples names Top 6
Four-star running back James Peoples of San Antonio (TX) Veterans Memorial High is down to six schools— Ohio State, Texas, Oklahoma, Alabama, TCU, and Oregon.
The 5-foot-11, 196 pounder went in-depth on his finalists.
Ohio State
“Their coaching staff is amazing top to bottom! Me and Coach Alfords relationship is special, we have deep in depth conversations about not only football but life and the development of the person. We talk ball a whole lot as well as how I fit the scheme and stretch the field and how I can impact the offense with all of my attributes. We also work on the development of my football IQ, and working on my mental part of the game as well as physical. My family is up in Ohio and we know how it would be a convenience for them to be close. Also Coach Day emphasizes how I fit the mold of a Buckeye and are a top priority for them.”
Texas
“The coaching staff is awesome and they are really close to home! Me and Coach Choice gotta get after it relationship he is that Coach who brings the energy every single time you see him! All about putting in that work and I love that about him, he keeps it 💯 and you can keep it real with him! Whenever we talk he talks about how to handle my business… him being a former successful back in the league, he gives me the ins and outs on how to be great not only as a football player but human being at any level!”
Oklahoma
“The staff and people at OU are awesome people. They are big on family and so am I. Coach Venables is on a mission at OU called soul mission that really speaks to me, It’s something bigger than football “it’s about the players he says and pouring into them”. Coach Venables and I talk about a lot of things but they believe I play a big part in being the change at OU and bringing trophies back to the Name! Coach Murray is a special coach he emphasizes family and how the coaching staff is like family, he has experience in a place I want to get to and is always giving me the keys to the puzzle and breaks the game down.”

Alabama
“The coaching staff at Alabama is great, Coach Saban has a plan in place that has worked for a lot of running backs and has proven successful in their careers. Alabama football has a rich history in the running game and Coach Hutzler Coach Saban really emphasizes that when we talk! Our relationship is still building but it’s definitely a special place!”
TCU
“Coach Jones and the staff at TCU were the first program to take a chance on me and get my recruiting started! The environment at Fort Worth is special and from my first time being up there I could feel that it’s a place I could see myself growing in. They shocked the nation this year and are turning the program into a powerhouse. Coach Jones and I always have conversations about the things not just in football but outside of football as well. They work hard and recover hard!”
Oregon
“Me and Coach Lock’s relationship has been growing and he always makes sure he is helping me stay spiritually full and strong. Eugene Oregon is a beautiful place and so are the people. Coach Lock pours into me how he develops backs as well and his formula not only to help me be successful now but in the league and life after that, because football is only part of my life and not all I am.”
