Four-star WR Robby Washington focused on three schools
LAS VEGAS — Heading into the offseason, talented South Florida playmaker Robby Washington is focused on three teams.
Alabama, Georgia and Florida State made the cut for the On300 wide receiver from Miami (Fla.) Killian High School. Washington is the nation’s No. 20-ranked wide receiver.
He aims to have a decision in place this offseason — as early as next month or certainly before his senior season arrives.
“I want to be committed before my senior year starts,” Washington told On3. “The three schools looking at me heaviest right now are Alabama, Florida State and Georgia.”
The X-factor boils down to which school makes Washington and his twin brother, linebacker Bobby Washington.
The Seminoles have offers out to both in-state recruits. They’ll head to Tallahassee on March 5.
“They are talking to both of us the same, they are trying to get both of us to visit as much as we can, and you can feel the love they have for both of us,” Washington said. “When I first met Coach (Ron) Duggans, he told me he wouldn’t sugarcoat things; I’d have to come in here and work, and I always liked that style.”
Georgia will get the Washingtons on campus on March 18. There is a sense that the staff wants a closer evaluation of Bobby.

The champs have some momentum after tabbing Bryan McClendon from Miami’s staff this offseason.
“When Coach B-Mac was at Miami, Miami was leading heavily in my recruitment and now that he’s at Georgia, I’m leaning there,” Washington told On3. “They like my brother, too, and we’re looking forward to that visit.”
The Crimson Tide remains in play, too.
Receivers coach Holmon Wiggins has been persistent in reaching out to the four-star wideout through various mediums, and it’s been well-received.
“They keep in touch with me all day, every day,” the 5-foot-10, 170-pounder grinned. “Whether it’s Twitter, Instagram, text messages. Coach Wiggins talks to me like we’re already family.”
Washington is the nation’s No. 141 overall player on the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. On3 ranks him higher as the No. 134 player.
