Four-star S Makari Vickers reveals top three schools
Tallahassee (Fla.) John Paul II Catholic four-star safety Makari Vickers revealed the top three teams in contention for his commitment Tuesday afternoon.
They are Alabama, Michigan and Oklahoma. According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, it is a close race between all schools. The Crimson Tide’s chance to land Vickers’ commitment is 27.2% and the Sooners aren’t far behind at 13.7%. The Wolverines’ odds are at 8.7%.
The 6-foot-1, 189 pound defensive back took official visits to Alabama, Michigan and Oklahoma in three consecutive weeks in June. He has visited Tuscaloosa four total times, Norman two total times and Ann Arbor just once for his official visit on June 10.

Vickers is the No. 87 overall prospect and No. 8 safety in the 2023 On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
He has an On3 NIL Valuation of $126K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
