Four-Star S Marquis Gallegos sets commitment date, names Top 5
Four-star safety Marquis Gallegos of West Hills (CA) Chaminade High narrowed his list to 5 schools Thursday afternoon.
The 6-foot-1, 180 pounder is down to the following: USC, Michigan, Notre Dame, Oregon, and Oklahoma.
He will announce his college decision on June 27th.
Gallegos discusses finalists
USC: Always been a big USC fan growing up because I’m from California and the direction that Lincoln Riley has the program headed is big time for them.
Michigan: Michigan has the biggest winning culture in college football and with a veteran coach like Harbaugh you know what you’re going to get out of them and that’s competing for a national championship.
Notre Dame: Notre Dame’s tradition is unmatched and with the value of getting a degree from there it could set you up great for life after football as well.

Oregon: With Coach Lanning coming in and having a great first year as the head coach I think he’s set the standard for Oregon and they’re only going to keep getting better.
Oklahoma: Brent Venables is arguably one of the best defensive minds in college football so playing for him would work in my favor being a defensive player. He’s guiding Oklahoma down the right path and I’m excited to see what they can do next year.
Gallegos ranks as the No. 227 player in the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He also tabs in as the No. 18 safety and the No. 19 player in the state of California.
He currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $64K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
