Four-Star TE Walker Lyons down to 6
Four-star tight end Walker Lyons of Folsom (Calif.) High School has narrowed his list to six schools— Alabama, Utah, Ohio State, BYU, USC, and Stanford.
The 6-foot-4, 225 pounder is ranked as the No. 80 player in the 2023 class according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting services. He ranks as the fifth-best tight end in the nation, and the No. 6 player in California.
Lyons spoke with On3 about each of the finalists.
Alabama
“The winning history of the program and the job security is one of the main things I like about them,” Lyons said. “Also the need they have for tight ends is a plus.”
Utah
“Their recent tight end play has been so eye opening and excited me,” Lyons said. “The relationships I have with the coaches and the fans showing love is also top tier.”
