4-star running back Tre Wisner names top 8 schools

Waco (Texas) Connally running back Tre Wisner is down to eight schools, he announced Thursday evening on Twitter.
Wisner is the No. 176 prospect in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks as the nation’s No. 7 running back and the No. 30 junior prospect in Texas.
Among his top eight are: Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Oregon, USC, Texas, Texas A&M, Arkansas, and Florida State.

According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM), Oklahoma is the overwhelming favorite to land Wisner. The Sooners currently have two expert predictions in their favor, and the RPM gives them a 99.1 percent chance to secure Wisner’s commitment.
As a junior this past fall, Tre Wisner was named the Texas District 9-4A-II Co-Offensive MVP. He rushed for 909 yards and 12 touchdowns on just 77 carries, and added 18 catches for 241 yards in the passing game. On defense, Wisner totaled 77 tackles, one interception and a forced fumble.
