Missouri City (Tex.) Fort Bend Marshall wide receiver Chris Marshall is ready to make his college commitment, he tweeted Friday night.

Marshall is the No. 79 overall player in the 2022 class according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average. On3’s own rankings put him a bit higher, ranking him as the nation’s No. 64 prospect.

The 6-foot-3, 195-pounder announced a top three of Texas A&M, Alabama and USC last month. Here’s what he had to say about each:

Alabama

“They have a legendary coach and program that recruits the best, and I believe I am one of the best,” Marshall said. “The conversations with the coaching staff have been very promising.”

Texas A&M

“It feels like home, it’s a family atmosphere, and my support system isn’t far away,” Marshall said. “The coaches have displayed true interest in me and they have a great leader who wants his team to be great. He believes I can help with that.”

USC

“They have a great atmosphere with a historic colosseum, and the coaching staff is genuine and spirited about everything,” Marshall said. “They have shown me love in one of my toughest moments and I appreciate that.”

Chris Marshall is visiting Texas A&M this weekend

Along with a star-studded group of visitors, Marshall will be in College Station this weekend. That group includes five-star athlete Bryce Anderson, five-star defensive lineman Walter Nolen, and five-star wideout Evan Stewart. And that’s just the headliners.

Chris Marshall expected to visit Alabama two weeks ago but didn’t end up making the trip. And with the coaching uncertainty at USC likely to stretch into the next few weeks (or months), Texas A&M looks to be in the driver’s seat. The Aggies currently hold the No. 9 class in the 2022 On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings. However, they are among the favorites to land a number of four-and five-star prospects. And that includes Chris Marshall.
