4-star wide receiver Jalen Hale locks in a pair of official visits
Longview (Texas) wide receiver Jalen Hale has been one of the top targets for both Texas and Texas A&M at receiver for quite some time. But out-of-state schools have taken notice of him, and they’re looking to take him out of the Lone Star State.
Ohio State, Georgia, USC, LSU and Alabama are among the schools in pursuit of Hale, and two have locked in official visits with him for this summer.
Hale told On3’s Joseph Hastings that he’ll trip to Georgia on June 3-5 before heading to USC two weekends later (June 17-19).
In addition to those two visits, Hale will have three more available. According to InsideTexas, the home state Longhorns are likely to get one. And Hale previously told BamaOn3 that he plans to visit Tuscaloosa as well, though he didn’t have a date yet.

Should he follow through on all four of those, that leaves one official visit that the Buckeyes, Tigers, Aggies and potentially more schools will be fighting for.
The 6-foot-1, 173-pounder is the No. 71 overall prospect in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks as the nation’s No. 12 wide receiver and the No. 13 junior in Texas.
Jalen Hale is also a standout on the track, where he recently posted a time of 10.56 in the 100-meter dash. As it stands today, Texas is the slight leader to land Hale, according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM). It gives the Longhorns a 24.7 percent chance of securing his commitment with USC (21.6%) and Texas A&M (12.5%) slightly behind.
