FOX Sports hilarious technical issues interrupt New Mexico-Montana State broadcast
Technical difficulties briefly interrupted the first quarter of Saturday’s afternoon broadcast between New Mexico and Montana State on FOX Sports 1. At about the midway mark of the opening quarter, a man’s voice came through the air asking whether anybody could hear him.
Play-by-play announcer Tim Brando continued to call the game before the voice was heard a second time. It seemed there was audio issues of some kind between the broadcast crew, though everything they said could be clearly heard by the viewers.

“Can anybody hear me?” the voice asked. “We have no audio whatsoever, is that right?”
Whatever the issue was, it seemed to get cleared up fairly quickly. The game went to commercial break shortly after the incident and everything was operating as usual when it resumed.
New Mexico went into halftime holding a 24-14 advantage and is still currently clinging to a 10-point lead with 10:20 to go in the game. Quarterback Devon Dampier has led the way for the Lobos with 16-of-22 passing for 167 yards and a touchdown. He has also rushed for 34 yards and another score.
With the technical difficulties behind us, we’ll hope for an exciting finish. Montana State currently has the ball in its own territory but is approaching midfield.

Montana State comes from behind to beat New Mexico
New Mexico still held a 10-point lead when Montana State got the ball back with 4:35 remaining. The Bobcats found themselves backed up to their own 7-yard line and facing a long field ahead if they hoped to score.
However, they would get a big break when running back Adam Jones got loose for a 93-yard touchdown on the very first play of the drive. That put Montana State within a field goal as they gave the ball back to the Lobos.
The Bobcats forced another punt from New Mexico to regain possession with 1:58 left. They then marched 89 yards downfield before Scottre Humphrey punched in the go-ahead score with 10 seconds remaining.
It was an impressive comeback for Montana State, which at one point trailed by 17 points in the second half. As for New Mexico, it’s not the way the Lobos wanted to start out the season, especially considering they seemed to have this game in hand.
