Fairfax (Va.) Paul VI Catholic four-star power forward Garrett Sundra is down to five schools, he tells On3.

Moving forward, the 6-foot-10, 215-pound rising senior will consider Butler, Miami, Notre Dame, Providence, and Virginia Tech.

Sundra discusses each of his final five schools in an exclusive interview here (On3+).

Butler is the only school that’s hosted Sundra on an official visit thus far. He’s also unofficially visited Virginia Tech and hopes to visit Providence and Notre Dame this summer. Sundra says he would ultimately like to make a decision before September.

According to the On3 Industry Rankings, Sundra is the No. 113 overall prospect in the 2024 cycle. He’s also the No. 23 power forward prospect and the No. 4 player in the state of Virginia. The On3 Industry Ranking is a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Sundra discusses his game, what he’s looking for in a school

In a previous interview with On3, Garrett Sundra broke down his game and said what he’s looking for in a future program.

“I would say I’m a hard-nosed player,” Sundra told On3. “I bring energy, positive energy to the game. I’d say I’m a good leader and can shoot the ball well from the outside. I’m comfortable in the mid-post and play hard on the boards. I would say I am a stretch 4 that runs the floor well and is just a great hustle guy overall. I like Luka (Doncic) because he plays at a great pace. KD (Kevin Durant) is a tall guy who can dribble better, so I try to take some moves from him.”

Sundra also knows what he’s looking for in a program.

“I want to be able to have some freedom on offense, use my versatility. Nothing special, be able to catch it in the mid-post and make a read and make a play. Play some pick and pops and some ghosts here and there.
