Georgia DB commit Dominick Kelly reclassifies to 2025 class
While on a visit to Georgia this weekend, Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy four-star cornerback Dominick Kelly announced that he is reclassifying to the 2025 recruiting class. Kelly has been committed to the Bulldogs since July 29.
The 6-foot-0.5, 175-pound IMG corner opened up on his decision in August with On3.
“I had a longstanding relationship with Georgia, and they offered me a while back,” Kelly said. “That was in January, and we haven’t stopped communicating since. This may seem like an out-of-the-blue thing but I’ve been communicating with coach Donte and coach T-Rob for some time now… It just felt right. I’m going somewhere that’s known for developing players, specifically defensive backs. Playing in the SEC and competing for a national championship every year is something that I felt in my heart that I really fit.”
Meeting head coach Kirby Smart left an impact on Kelly.
“The relationship that I felt with coach Williams and T-Rob was a massive part in it,” Kelly said. “When I was there over the weekend and got the chance to meet with coach Kirby and I was thoroughly surprised with how easy he is to speak to. He is Kirby Smart so you don’t know exactly what you’re going to get. Speaking with him and other people on the staff, it felt like a family environment.”

Kelly was one of three commits in Georgia’s 2026 class alongside Tustin (Calif.) Mission Viejo four-star wide receiver Vance Spafford and Jonesboro (Ga.) four-star corner Jontavius Wyman.
Kelly is the second cornerback now in the Bulldogs’ 2025 recruiting class, joining Atlanta Douglass four-star Jontae Gilbert. Elsewhere in the defensive secondary are Murfreesboro (Tenn.) Rockvale four-star safety Jaylan Morgan and Warner Robins (Ga.) four-star safety Rasean Dinkins.
