Georgia defensive lineman Jamaal ‘Jah’ Jarrett plans to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal, according to On3’s Hayes Fawcett. Jarrett will have multiple years of eligibility remaining.

Jarrett was a four-star recruit in the 2023 signing class. He played in 11 games in 2024 for the Bulldogs.

In those games, Jarrett totaled three tackles.

Jarrett has been the subject of various negative episodes, stemming from both his time as a recruit and player for the Bulldogs. He was a main subject in an Atlanta Journal-Constitution investigation that alleged he committed a sexual assault as a minor while on a recruiting visit.

Jarrett also apologized in May of 2023 after he was seen and heard in a social media video uttering racist remarks toward Asian people.

Another Bulldog announced plans to withdraw from the portal

On Tuesday, Georgia wide receiver Nitro Tuggle announced he will not be entering the NCAA Transfer Portal and, instead, will return to the Bulldogs next season. Tuggle initially announced his plans to enter the portal on Monday.

Tuggle was a true freshman for the Bulldogs this season,  amassing six appearances. In his limited action, Tuggle tallied three catches for 34 total yards.

After Tuggle hauled in two receptions against Tennessee, Georgia head coach Kirby Smart praised the talented young receiver.

“Nitro’s responded well. He’s worked hard,” Smart said. “He gained some confidence from that because he went against a really good defense and he did some nice things.

“But, I mean, he goes against a good defense every day in practice, and there’s times that he’s been frustrated. I mean, he would tell you openly that he wants to play. He wants to help. All freshmen want to play.”

Smart isn’t the only one who gave Tuggle his flowers this season. Georgia cornerback Daylen Everette also raved about Tuggle’s abilities earlier this year.

“He’s a real good player. He really is a fun player to compete against. He probably has one of the best releases, so that also helps me because I know what to look for and try to stay patient,” Everette said.
