Georgia takes over nation's No. 1 class with addition of blue-chip EDGE Chase Linton
With exactly two weeks to go until National Signing Day, Georgia has the No. 1 overall class in the On3 Industry Football Team Recruiting Rankings.
The Bulldogs have jockeyed with both Alabama and Ohio State in recent weeks, with both of those teams holding the top spot at different points.
But after rankings updates from On3 and Rivals, as well a commitment from four-star EDGE Chase Linton on Wednesday, the Bulldogs have taken over the throne — for now.
The 6-foot-4, 215-pounder out of North Atlanta is the No. 107 overall prospect and No. 10 EDGE in the 2025 class, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
His pledge gives the Bulldogs 26 in total this cycle, but more importantly it’s their 25th blue-chip (four- or five-star) commitment.
Bulldogs still have multiple targets on the board
And they don’t appear to be done just yet.
Georgia is heavily favored for the nation’s top uncommitted prospect in Five-Star Plus+ defensive lineman Justus Terry. He sit set to decide during the Early Signing Period and would almost certainly cement their second-straight No. 1 class.

But the Bulldogs aren’t just after him. Newly minted On3 five-star quarterback Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele is a top flip target currently pledged to Cal. The Hawaii-based passer already took an official visit to Oregon and will be in Athens next weekend.
UGA is also in pursuit of Missouri four-star running back commit Jamarion Morrow, four-star Tennessee receiver pledge Travis Smith, four-star Tennessee linebacker commit Christian Gass, and Arkansas four-star verbal Tavion Wallace, among others.
The biggest fish, though, is LSU Five-Star Plus+ cornerback commit DJ Pickett. And the ‘Dawgs look to be picking up some steam with signing day in sight.
“Georgia has re-entered the race for five-star cornerback DJ Pickett after getting him back on campus for the Tennessee game,” On3’s Chad Simmons wrote earlier this week. “Let’s see where this next week, but coming off that visit, Georgia looks be more in this than most, if not all, expected. Communication has been strong for “over a month” we are told and that visit made a big impact on the LSU commit.”
