Georgia Football Recruiting: Bulldogs building toward another elite class

Few football programs have been recruiting at the level Georgia has over the past half-decade, as the Bulldogs have claimed the No. 1 class multiple times since 2019. And if they don’t have the top-ranked class, they’re not far behind.
In fact, since 2016 UGA has never finished outside the top 3 of the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings. And the 2026 cycle is expected to be more of the same. Despite a slower than normal start in terms of sheer commitments, the Bulldogs still hold the No. 5 class nationally with 13 players currently in their class.
Unsurprisingly, they are — and will continue to be — involved with some of the nation’s best in 2026. Last month, they landed arguably the biggest priority in the class for them: Nashville Christian (Tenn.) Five-Star Plus+ quarterback Jared Curtis. He was one of five commitments in the month of May and their seventh since the end of April.
As a junior, Curtis completed over 70 percent of his passes for 2,830 yards and 40 touchdowns to just three interceptions. He added another 637 yards rushing and 18 more scores. He is the highest-rated passer to commit to UGA since Matthew Stafford in 2006, a player who Georgia fans would love to see Curtis emulate in his career.
With their quarterback and centerpiece of the class, Georgia has 17 total pledges. Eight project to play on the offensive side of the ball at the next level, while seven more are expected to be part of UGA’s elite defensive system. Two of the latest are top punter and kicker prospects.
Of the 17 commits, 10 hail from the Peach State: safety Jordan Smith, WR Ryan Mosley, offensive linemen Zykie Helton, Graham Houston and Zachary Lewis, WR Brady Marchese, safety Kealan Jones, punter Wade Register, and defensive linemen Seven Cloud and Carter Luckie.
And 12 of the 17 rank as blue-chip prospects, one of the highest rates in the country.
