Jonas Williams

Frankfort Heights (Ill.) Lincoln-Way East four-star quarterback Jonas Williams committed to Oregon just before the start of his junior season of high school football. The cornerstone of the Ducks’ top-ranked 2026 recruiting class, Williams has elite programs across the country gunning for his commitment.

Georgia — which lost the commitment of No. 1 QB Jared Curtis back in October — offered Williams on Monday.

This past season at Lincoln-Way East, Williams threw for 2,926 yards and 42 touchdowns with only six interceptions. He completed 67.8 percent of his passes and added another seven scores on the ground.

Four prospects are currently pledged to the Bulldogs’ 2026 class, including a pair of pass-catchers for any prospective quarterback commit. Tustin (Calif.) Mission Viejo wide receiver Vance Spafford is a top-15 player at his position, and Saline (Mich.) tight end Lincoln Keyes ranks just outside of the top 300 overall.

Jonas Williams Recruit Profile

The 6-foot-1.5, 200-pound Williams is the nation’s No. 86 overall prospect in the 2026 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking — a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is the No. 7 quarterback in the class and the top-ranked player from the Land of Lincoln.

“Oregon has been my dream school for a while,” Williams told On3 on his commitment to Oregon. “A lot of people talk highly of Oregon and it definitely lived up to that standard. When I got there I really liked Coach (Will) Stein and how he teaches. That’s really important. I’m going to spend a lot of time with him the next four years of my life.”

“I really like Coach (Dan) Lanning. He’s one of the most humble head coaches I’ve met. The whole coaching staff has a sense of integrity to them. I feel comfortable with them and can trust them.”
