For Ohio State, the path to the College Football Playoff was far from guaranteed. After losing to Michigan in The Game, the Buckeyes fell to No. 5 in the CFP rankings. Ohio State has wins over Notre Dame and Penn State, among others.
Ohio State is led by star quarterback CJ Stroud, who will pose a great threat for the Georgia defense. He has thrown for 3340 yards with 37 touchdowns and six interceptions this season. The Buckeyes also have a dominant receiver room, as Marvin Harrison Jr. and Emeka Egbuka both have 1000 yards and Jaxon Smith-Njigba is still a factor despite injury concerns.
Georgia is led by a stout defense, but the offense has shown some great things this season as well. Stetson Bennett has thrown for 3,425 yards with 20 touchdowns and six interceptions, and he’s added seven additional scores on the ground.
