Georgia has much of its recruiting focus on finishing out the 2025 class strong, but the Bulldogs got some big news for 2026 on Sunday morning.

Saline (Mich.) three-star tight end Lincoln Keyes committed to UGA on his visit to Athens, his second time seeing the Bulldogs play this year.

The 6-foot-6, 220-pounder is the No. 353 overall prospect in the junior class, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He also ranks as the nation’s No. 18 tight end and No. 5 recruit in Michigan.

“When I’m looking for a school, I really care about my relationship with the coaches,” Keyes told On3’s Chad Simmons after his first trip to see the Bulldogs in August. “Development is really important to me. The final thing is how tight ends are used. I’m a very versatile player that can block but, I want to be used in the passing game too because that is my strength.”

Relationships, Bulldogs offensive system key for Keyes

He and tight ends coach Todd Hartley have developed just the kind of connection he wants.

“Coach Hartley’s my guy for sure,” he said at the time. “I love how he is not just a coach, but who he is as a husband and person. I would love for him to be my coach for my college career. Georgia is recruiting me heavily and we have a great relationship.”

The Bulldogs’ usage of the tight end as a focal point in the offense is key as well.

“Georgia is known for tight ends. They’re very involved in the offense in both the run and pass game, which is very important to me.

He becomes the third commitment in 2026 for Georgia, joining four-star receiver Vance Spafford and four-star cornerback Jontavius Wyman.
