Five-Star Plus+ EDGE Isaiah Gibson signs with Georgia

Georgia has locked in another elite member of its 2025 recruiting class.

Warner Robins (Ga.) Five-Star Plus+ EDGE Isaiah Gibson signed with the Bulldogs on Wednesday, the first day of the Early Signing Period.

The 6-foot-3, 263-pounder had been committed to UGA since June 24, when he chose them over Ohio State, Auburn, South Carolina, Tennessee and others.

Gibson was previously pledged to USC from March until late May, but backed off that and ultimately landed with Kirby Smart and Co.

“With Georgia, anything is possible,” Gibson told On3’s Chad Simmons when he committed in June. “Georgia is just a great place. The overall way that coach Smart runs the program, I feel like it is amazing. It’s remarkable, honestly. There is a lot I like about Georgia. I have always had them high on my list. They prepare you to be your best. Georgia puts players into the NFL.”

He ranks No. 8 nationally and checks in as the No. 1 EDGE in the 2025 class, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Gibson has an NIL Valuation of $551,000. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

“Gibson is a big EDGE prospect who creates a mismatch with his combination of rare physical traits, athleticism and power. Measured in at 6-foot-3.25, 263 pounds at the On3 Elite Series prior to his senior season, but looks to have trimmed down significantly as a senior. Has elite length and a big frame, sporting 35-inch arms and 10.5 hands. Runs well in the combine setting. Translates his physical ability over to the field while playing top competition on Friday nights. Highly disruptive and productive working as a defensive end at his high school, oftentimes lining up as a standup pass rusher. Finished his junior season with 17 sacks. Converts speed to power with ease. Knifes through the offensive line as a straight line rusher. Fights through blocks. Shows the ability to beat double teams and finish with sacks. Has truly elite closing speed and is a violent finisher.”
