Elijah Griffin Georgia

Georgia is recruiting the defensive line better than any program in the country, and that’s no different in the 2025 cycle.

Five-Star Plus+ defensive lineman Elijah Griffin has signed with the Bulldogs after committing in October over USC, Miami and more than 40 other reported offers.

The 6-foot-4, 300-pounder out of Savannah (Ga.) Christian Prep is the No. 5 overall prospect in the 2025 class, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

He also ranks as the nation’s No. 1 defensive lineman and the No. 1 recruit in the Peach State.

Over his four-year varsity career at one of Georgia’s top prep schools, Griffin amassed more than 300 total tackles, 96 tackles for loss, and 44 sacks.

Griffin has an NIL Valuation of $588,000. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

Scout’s Take on Elijah Griffin

On3’s Scouting and Rankings team writes this about him as a prospect:

“Griffin is a highly athletic, disruptive defensive lineman who looks like the top prospect along at the position in 4-5 cycles. Arguably the safest prospect, particularly among non-quarterbacks in the 2025 cycle. Measured at 6-foot-4, 300 pounds with 34.5-inch arms and 10-inch hands prior to his senior season. Has continued adding mass and strength. Flies off the snap and darts into the backfield to create disruption with regularity. A very loose and fluid athlete, particularly at his size. Plays with outstanding leverage and body lean. Shows advanced hands at the point of attack and quickly neutralizes offensive linemen. Darts into the backfield to make plays behind the line of scrimmage at a high clip.”
