Georgia Tech flips WR Jordan Allen from Louisville: 'I am staying home'
On April 16, seven months ago, Jordan Allen committed to Louisville. He felt good about that decision. The staff made him feel good, but once the season started, new schools reached out. Georgia Tech offered. Nebraska offered. Both grabbed his attention, but the playmaker out of Buford (Ga.) decided to stay home and be a Yellow Jacket.
“Since they offered me in September, Georgia Tech has been communicating with me,” Allen told On3. “They came in late, but we built a relationship fast and we made up a lot of time. They have me feeling comfortable. I know people there, the coaching staff has recruited me hard, former Buford coach Jess Simpson is there and I am staying home.”
Allen has only visited the Flats once. He saw Georgia Tech hand Miami their only loss this season earlier this month on his official visit. That is all he needed to see.
“I made the decision last week. Georgia Tech is building something special. They have a great recruiting class, I love their offensive style of play and you can’t beat the location. They have a great plan for me too and they want to use me like Malik Rutherford.

“After the visit to Georgia Tech, I thought about my decision, I weighed the pros and cons and just kept chopping it down. Georgia Tech is what is best for my future.”
Trent McKnight deserves a lot of credit. He led the way here. Many others were involved. Brent Key was one and the 5-foot-7, 170-pounder is excited about the future under him.
“I like coach Key a lot,” Allen added. “He is a great coach and he cares for players. I am ready to play for him and go play for ACC Championships. Coach Key does a great job and the program is only getting better. He is branding the team to fight, and with this class, it is only up.”
