Georgia Tech guard Nait George plans to enter NCAA transfer portal

Georgia Tech star Nait George plans to enter the NCAA transfer portal, according to a report from On3’s Joe Tipton. George just wrapped up his sophomore season.
The 6-foot-3, 185-pound guard averaged 12.3 points, 6.5 assists and 4.2 rebounds per game. He started all 34 games he appeared in during the season.
During the year, Nait George had some truly impressive outings. He scored 28 points in a game at Clemson, 26 points in a game against California and had three other outings with at least 20 points in a game.
In an ACC Tournament game against Virginia, George actually recorded a double-double with points (13) and rebounds (10). He also had a double-double against Miami with points (10) and assists (11).
Nait George had two games this season with double-digit assists. His best was a 12-assist outing against NC State.
In short, he knows how to stuff a stat sheet and will be highly coveted out of the NCAA transfer portal. George showed considerable improvement from his freshman to sophomore seasons, so the best is likely still in front of him.
As a freshman, Nait George averaged 9.8 points, 4.7 assists and 2.4 rebounds per game. He started 28 of 29 contests, shooting 31.4% from 3-point range while doing so.

Anquan Boldin’s son enters transfer portal
Nait George isn’t the only notable transfer portal entry in recent days. Buffalo Bulls sophomore guard Anquan Boldin Jr. has entered the transfer portal, On3 has learned. He is the son of long-time NFL star wide receiver Anquan Boldin.
Coming out of high school, Boldin Jr. was an unranked recruit in the Class of 2023. He attended IMG Academy in Delray Beach, Florida. There, he averaged 11 points, four rebounds, two assists, and one block in 27 games. Eventually, he would sign with Buffalo out of high school.
In two seasons with the Bulls, Boldin Jr. has become an important player for Buffalo. In 53 career games played, he has 49 starts and averaged 27 minutes per game over his first two college seasons. This past season, he was one of just two Bulls players to start every game for the team. For his career, he’s averaging 7.5 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game. He’s also shooting 46.4 percent from the field, 28 percent from three-point range, and 66.4 percent from the free-throw line. On the defensive end, he has 0.9 steals and 0.7 blocks per game.
