Georgia Tech has hired Alabama assistant director of player personnel Errin Joe as its new general manager, sources tell On3.

The news was first reported by Rivals.

It’s a return home for Joe, a former Georgia Tech starting offensive lineman who worked for the Yellow Jackets from 2018 through 2021, first as a graduate assistant and then as an assistant director of player personnel.

Joe initially left the Yellow Jackets last year for the director of recruiting job at UConn but was then hired at Alabama, where he assisted with a 2023 Crimson Tide class that’s currently No. 1 in the On3 Consensus Rankings.

Now, he’s back at Georgia Tech under new Yellow Jackets head coach Brent Key, who was the Yellow Jackets’ offensive line coach when Joe was previously on Georgia Tech’s staff.
