After Desmond Howard spoke about the chance Georgia Tech might lay an egg a week after beating Florida State on College GameDay, the Yellow Jackets took to social media to troll the ESPN analyst.

In the video, Georgia Tech shows Howard making the argument that the Yellow Jackets could be in trouble in Week 1. After that, the video cuts to an image of the box score, showing that Georgia Tech had no issues with Georgia State while music from Curb Your Enthusiasm played.

You can watch how Georgia Tech trolled Desmond Howard, here:

“We were in Dublin last week and we saw Georgia Tech upset Florida State,” Desmond Howard said in the clip. “Big win. They’re the darling of college football and all that stuff. Now, they play Georgia State. Look at Georgia State’s roster, littered with players from the Power Five schools. So, I think if Georgia Tech goes out and lays an egg, despite what they did a week ago against Florida State, even though it was earlier in the season, if they lay an egg against Georgia State, they can’t rebound. They can’t bounce back from a loss like that.”

The actual language that Howard used is careful to not outright predict that Georgia Tech would lose. Instead, it was that the Yellow Jackets would struggle to bounce back from a loss to Georgia State.

Still, that was never really a concern during the game itself. The Yellow Jackets won easily by a score of 35-12. Throughout the game Georgia Tech was consistently able to add on to their score, taking a lead early that they never gave up.

Quarterback Haynes King had another big game, to go along with his strong performance against Florida State. He finished the day with 275 passing yards and two passing touchdowns. He also ran for 27 yards and a touchdown on the ground. Meanwhile, running back Jamal Haynes added a score on the ground, and wide receiver Eric Singleton had a rushing touchdown as well.

From here, Georgia Tech is preparing to play Syracuse. That’s an ACC matchup, and if anyone on the set of ESPN College GameDay has a take about it, it seems like the Yellow Jackets are likely going to make their feelings known.
